Welcome

The Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale/Cypress Creek proudly received its charter June 17, 2003.  Our club was co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale North and the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale.  Our members are owners and executives of a variety of businesses and organizations, all united in the cause of service.

 

As a new club, we are building new traditions and projects.  We are enthusiastic about making new friends as we help to improve our local and global communities, one project at a time.  We have an ambitious service program, working with a variety of community needs: youth, the elderly, the homeless, and the environment just to name a few.  Our club members are committed to the spirit and international scope of Rotary, and work toward fulfilling many aspects of service: Community, vocational, club and international.

The Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

 

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

 

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

 

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

 

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
