Stephanie Silberman, Ph.D, FAASM, is a licensed psychologist who is a diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine and fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Silberman is the author of The Insomnia Workbook: A Comprehensive Guide to Getting the Sleep You Need, a self-help guide for people with insomnia and a reference tool for health-care professionals. She created the Sleep Advisor app based on cognitive-behavioral therapy principles that are used in the treatment of insomnia.
Dr. Silberman is active in professional organizations and legislative activities affecting psychology and sleep disorders and served twice as president of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Psychological Association. Due to her expertise in sleep medicine, she has appeared on television news, radio programs, podcasts, and numerous national magazines regarding sleep-related issues.
Dr. Silberman evaluates and treats a wide range of sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, circadian rhythm disorders, night terrors, recurrent nightmares, and numerous other sleep disorders. She is a consultant for various sleep laboratories.
Dr. Silberman resides in the Fort Lauderdale area with her husband and two sons. She loves the outdoors and enjoys biking, swimming, gardening, and spending time with her family.
